Saygus V2 Smartphone: Top 3 Business Features

Saygus V2, business smartphones
The V2 also has a sharp 5-inch display, a snappy processor and a big battery.

Talk about a feature phone. The Saygus V2 is packed with more productivity-boosting hardware features than any device in recent memory. Those features include a built-in wireless transmitter that can beam content to a large TV or monitor (think business presentations), dual microSD card slots for an incredible amount of onboard storage and a fingerprint scanner for added security.

Plus, the V2 includes a sharp 5-inch display, a zippy quad-core processor and a beefy 3,100-mAh battery that supports Qi wireless charging. Plus, the Android device supports noise-cancelling technology for clearer phone calls. Exact pricing and release date details haven't been announced, but the phone is expected to launch in the U.S. sometime in the first quarter of this year. While we wait, read on for three features that could make it good for work.

Wireless transmitter

One of the V2's most interesting business features is the 60-GHz mobile beaming transmitter located on the phone's right edge. The transmitter has earned praise for its ability to stream HD video and games to a large TV or monitor. Of course, business users might be more interested in beaming slideshows and presentations to a large screen. The V2 can stream content from your smartphone — for example, a work report saved to the cloud via Dropbox or Google Drive — straight to a big screen, without the need for wires or projectors. That could really come in handy during your work meetings.

Dual microSD card slots

You don't have to be a power user to find yourself running out of smartphone storage. Most mobile devices these days offer dinky internal drives with limited space for apps and files, unless you're willing to pay a huge premium for extra storage. That's why the Saygus V2's twin microSD card slots are so interesting. Combined with the phone's 64GB of onboard storage, the slots can give you up to 320GB of space. That's a plus for people who have a lot of work files to store on the go.

Fingerprint scanner

A fingerprint scanner can really give your smartphone a security boost, but not many models offer the feature just yet. The Saygus V2 is one of the few phones that come with a fingerprint scanner, so you can slide your thumb over it to quickly and easily unlock your device, without fussing with a password screen every time. While most current smartphone fingerprint readers are located on the front of the device, the V2's is located on the phone's right edge. However, we'll have to wait for the device to become available before we can test the reliability of the fingerprint scanner.
