The E Fun Nextbook 10.1 is a super-affordable Windows 2-in-1 tablet that's packed with value for business users. It's a Windows 8 tablet that comes with a big 10.1-inch display and a detachable keyboard – all for  $179. While the device offers relatively meager specifications, it looks ready to deliver a cheap productivity solution for budget-minded business users this holiday season. The Nextbook 10.1 will become available for pre-order starting Oct. 23 at Walmart stores nationwide, and is expected to launch sometime in mid-November. It will also arrive on SamsClub.com in December. While we wait to get our hands on the device for a full review, here are three features that we think might make it good for work.

Value

The E Fun Nextbook 10.1 is a pretty good value, considering what it offers for the money. The laptop/tablet hybrid offers a decent Quad-Core 1.83 GHz Intel Atom processor, a 10.1-inch, 1280 by 800-pixel touch-screen display, and 32GB of onboard storage. If there's one weak link in the package, it's the device's meager 1GB of RAM, which could curtail its multitasking capabilities. For business users with only basic computing needs, however, it might suffice.

Keyboard

The Nextbook 10.1 is probably the most affordable tablet that comes with a keyboard out of the box. Just snap on the accessory for extended typing sessions. The keyboard has a hinged design that props up the display, and lets you adjust the viewing angle any way you want, like a traditional clamshell notebook. You can even fold down the display to use the keyboard as a handy screen protector.

Free software

Here's another perk for business users: Microsoft is packing in free software. That includes a free one-year subscription to Office 365 personal, which gives you access to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and ensures that all your documents and files are backed up to the Web and accessible from anywhere. Plus, you get a free 1TB (1,000GB) of storage on Microsoft's OneDrive cloud storage platform, up from the paltry 15 GB of storage the platform provides by default. Finally, you get 60 minutes of free international calling via Skype per month.
