Union Mall shopping complex in Lat Phrao is fully operational with a new look.
Union Mall, a shopping centre in Lat Phrao, fully opened for business yesterday after completing a 500-million-baht renovation to mark its 10th anniversary.
The mall expects to serve 60,000 shoppers daily, up from 40,000 before the renovation began in 2015.
More customers are expected when access to the mall becomes easier after the BTS Dark Green Line is completed in the next few years.
Jirapat Sirijit, managing director of Siam Chatuchak Co, the operator of Union Mall, said both indoor and outdoor areas have been refurbished with additional retail shops and areas, bringing the total number of retail shops to 1,500.
"We aim to make Union Mall a shopping destination which offers a variety of high quality fashion and lifestyle products under domestic and international brands with unbeatable price in one roof," she said.
More than 10,000 square meters on Union Mall's sixth floor has been transformed into a huge convention hall for various activities such as concerts, events, meetings and exhibitions with modern facilities, as well as parking space for up to 6,000 cars a day.
Union Mall's target customers range from high school students to working people who enjoy indulging in fashion and shopping.
Union Mall has a retailer support programme to help develop business efficiency for retail tenants, and also provides opportunities to younger people who aspire to start new businesses at the shopping mall.
